Nice work. I like your deck layout and colors.

It's so pretty, nice work! I really enjoy to follow you build while I'm working on my own little Squirt. Are you planing for a hatch in the aft deck?

Looking great!

Thanks!
I built a hatch, yes. You can see it on Site 2.
Do you think you will finish your Squirt til summer, Søren?
Maybe I‘m going to visit denmark in summer and I hope to take the Squirt with me.
Unluckily the Squirt got wet the last months… I don‘t know if I need to re-do the Deck. Do you have any ideas on what to do?

If that is mold, bathroom cleaner or bleach should take care if it, but it may discolor the wood. Proceed with caution.

Re: Hamburg Squirt Build
Hello.
Well, bad luck that you deck got wet before finish. I'll second that it looks like mold, in that case I guess I to would try to remove it with some sort of cleaner - but try it out on scraps first!. If that fails, maybe sand it away, I guess it's only on the surface of the epoxy (if that what you used for the stripes).
I dont thing my Squirt will be ready for this summer, I'm currently installing shears and after that I'll atack the chines - stock is prepeared. I'll do a little most days, so it's slow (but steady) progress - i guess time will show
If you come to Denmark and in particular Fyn this summer I would love to meet if you find time and also think it could be fun - especially if you bring your boat
Feel free to contact me on facebook or PM here should it be relevant.
Best of luck with the remainig work on you project and remeber to keep us posted

Unluckily the stripes aren‘t epoxy, they are maple. Today I‘ve tried to remove the mold using isopropane but it doesn‘t work. I also tried to sand it away - no chance…
I will remove the maple-stripes which sure will be a lot of work… Any ideas how to remove the outer stripes without damaging the khaya or sapeli? I thought of using my veritas router plane but this will need a lot of time
@bechsgaard: I just added you at Facebook and will write when I am sure at which time I will visit denmark

There are also some good news:
I started on working at the windshield (brackets). Using Rhino 3D I designed the windshield and plotted the parts on paper. Next step was to transfer them to V2A (1.4301). A Friend helped me doing the welding part but it will need a few weeks to finish those. I hope there will be more time to work on the boat within the next months.
Cheers

Re: Hamburg Squirt Build
It‘s getting warmer in Germany so I started working on the Squirt. Because of the deck which got wet and started molding I decided to remove most of the deck… Not an easy decision.
