Gayle

Thank you. We (Including Glen-L) finished it in 2008. I hope it contributed to many successful builds. There are many better builds since then because of the help from this forum. Thanks to you, John, Barry, and your Dad.

I'll see you in September... Hope we don't loose you!

With a real kitchen with real appliances, we should be able to do more than we could at Hale's Barr. I'm hoping to be able to get fresh things locally and not have to haul everything from Wisconsin. We need to plan when, where and what. With many more options and opportunities, larger pot luck dinners might not be practical or desirable for everyone. I think lunches might be better on the river as Ken has scoped a lot of possibilities. The Thursday evening Spaghetti Feed with Neel is always a good Gathering kick off. Maybe that and a Saturday night get together that we could plan on site? Maybe we should see how the layout works before committing too much? Just a thought. We need to see how spread out things are and who will be able to contribute.

We're in one of the lower lodges.

I’m thinking with Neel’s spaghetti Thursday. The River Run lunch Friday and other places to eat by boat Saturday I don’t plan on cooking much of anything at all this time. With the family coming along space in the car is at a premium. Count me in for a dessert contribution though. S’mores by the fire anyone?

S'mores and guitar music by the campfire sound good to me!

Food City in Dayton is only 10 minutes away and will be a good source for food and supplies.

We are looking forward to this being the best gathering yet!
Gayle, I am happy to see that you and John will be joining us.
Josh, I look forward to meeting you Anika and the kids.

With any luck the Aquatron (AmpEater) will have solar panels installed by then.... watch my post for updates and pictures.

If anyone is interested, Melissa and I would be happy to make waffles and sausage Saturday morning in the pavilion behind the pool by the lodge where many of us will be staying.

We are fully booked! All available rooms are reserved by members here.
A good thing there is many hotels in town, close by for more availability of rooms.
Many RV spots are open too

Hi All!

I haven't dropped in to the forum in a LONG time. I'm happy to hear about the strong turnout for the Gathering this year! Hopefully, I'll be able to come by this year, WITH my new bride! We were actually up at that end of the lake last weekend for my daughters end-of-club-season volleyball party at the club owner's lake house. That's a beautiful area.

Ok. Time to do a little catch-up reading on this thread.

I hope to see you all in September.

Marta and I are really excited about the gathering. I reserved an RV spot today even though I am hoping our RV will be floating on the finger docks. If the boat isn't waterworthy yet, we will probably park it at the RV spot and either sleep on the boat on land or set up a tent in the grassy area by the finger docks like was suggested by Rachael Wilson last year when we toured the resort.

We have been too busy working our "real" jobs, and working on the boat, that I haven't been able to even read the forum very much let alone post stuff. I need to go post pictures on the thread under powerboats, but here is a quick picture of it taken before work yesterday. The sides are glued and screwed, the bottom is just tacked on, and I need to do some more fairing, and trimming and shimming before I glue and screw the bottom.

Cheers,
Ryan and Marta

P.S. I am too tired to do Calendar Math but there is like less than 5 months, but more than 3 months till the gathering!
