Lose of Brian Dow

Post by Bill Edmundson »

I got this from the UPSpirate, From Bruce Dow,

I think it is important to let my Glen-L family know that my dad, Brian, passed away a few weeks ago. It was peaceful and beautiful. I could not have designed it to be better. Dad was so proud of the work we did on the Monaco, and loved his trips to the Gathering to meet the wonderful people of Glen-L. If you are still on the forum, would you pass on this news, and my thanks for the wonderful support of the Glen-L community over the years. Bruce

I really liked Brian. I missed Him and Bruce since they left. Rest In Peace. :(

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dow family as well.

I'm not sure I ever formally met Bruce, or Brian, though our paths may have crossed at the 2011 Gathering. I can share a happy memory and photo from that occasion. It was the first Gathering I ever attended, and Sofia was so taken with Bruce's boat that she wanted me to take her picture with it. She was 7 years old at the time. Peace to you and your family, Bruce.

Heather and I had our first ride in a Glen-L boat with Bruce and Brian in Gemma at the last Guntersville Gathering. We didnt even know them a few hours before but they were very welcoming and gracious to spend a good amount of time talking with us that year. Glad to have known Brian. He was a very proud papa when talking about Bruce's achievement building the Monaco. It seems he lived a good, long, life and went peacefully. May we all be as fortunate.

Oh dear, this is so sad. Bruce was such a nice man and I'm so sorry to hear this--he was so young. Thank you for letting us know...

Gayle

This Bruce's dad, Brian, that died. Not Bruce.
