Great work on engineering the flip Lee. And congratulations on reaching and passing this milestone. This is a big deal and I am glad you've been able to get through this. Watching your video reminded me of when my flip occurred in 2016. I keep walking around saying "This is so cool" and couldn't get the smile off my face.

So maybe a bit more than 20% done. But it is an entirely different experience from building the hull. I believe now, that building the hull has been so thoroughly documented and perfected, that it gives builders the confidence they need to tackle the next phases of the project. The important thing, make sure the boat is level fore and aft and athwartships. This will be necessary as you start adding interior pieces. Take some time to ponder the next steps. The desire is going to be there to jump right in and get started, but it will pay off to think about this for a little while. What I did at first was just remove the build form and start cleaning up all the epoxy on the inside. This gave me time to start thinking of the next phases.

About how much cpes have gone through so far?

Carl, Thank you. I am mostly in that planning stage after the flip but I did start sanding the sheer. I am also working on figuring out how much lumber and ply to get for the next phase.

Tommy, I have used a little over two gallons of CPES so far. The main areas I have used it include the the outer surfaces of the frames, battens, etc. before planking, the bottom/sides (near the waterline) before fiberglassing, and the topsides after staining.

I plan to apply at least two coats of CPES on the bottom of the interior before I apply multiple coats of encapsulating epoxy. I will encapsulate the interior sides (i.e. behind the ceilings) with epoxy but I don't think I will use CPES there like the bottom. I might use CPES up the sides a little but not all the way up the sides to the sheer. That is the plan for now anyway

Frames 1-5 are removed. Frame 1 will be reinstalled a little further aft of its original position. Frame 4 will turn in to two frames near its original position to make a small deck behind the front seat. I am currently working on sanding the sheer. There is a lot of material to remove here - especially near the stern. I have 1210 hours in the build so far.
