I went to visit my motor this morning. It has come back from the machine shop and is ready for final construction. I will get it in March after I return to PA from Florida. It will make 410 HP with the modifications done at the machine shop. Also, it will be lighter as it has aluminum heads and intake/exhaust manifolds. Valve covers are polished aluminum and the exhaust risers are polished stainless. It should be pretty. I have been building the two bucket seats for the cockpit and they should be finished before Christmas. That's it for now. Merry Christmas everyone.... Neel
Hard to go wrong with a stroked SBC. I think 400 HP is the sweet spot for a 383, any more cam and they get hard to live with.
Are you going to carb it or run aftermarket fuel injection? I’ve had both and think a carb is best for a boat. If we a taking bets on speed predictions, put me down for 56 mph.

Put me down for 35 mph !!! But also put me down for "on plane in 2.5 seconds.... Then put me down for "Cocktail Speed" for the rest of the ride.
Matt.... It will have a new version throttle body fuel injection.
I’m running Holley Sniper throttle body EFI on an old Square Body Suburban with a 572 CI engine. It makes 625 hp, runs good and wasn’t very hard to tune.
