I guess if he keeps the weight under 2500 lbs, 65 mph is possible.
I’m thinking it will weigh more like 3500 lbs.

Neel seems to be building for light weight/big HP.

I have been making progress on the two bucket seats for the aft cockpit. The third picture is of the seats I am attempting to copy. The first and second show the progress on the ones I am building. Still have a ways to go.

The seats are looking good. I like curved backs for wooden seats like this. By the way, your motor sounds scary powerful

Bucket seats are coming along. I have been working on them every day and it seems like they will never be finished. I lined the curved inside portion of the seat backs with mahogany and the side panels are ready to be attached to the framework. All surfaces, fronts, backs, and sides will be lined with mahogany veneer. The seat bases will be 1/2" Okoume plywood with 1/4 inch mahogany veneer on the top surface. The bases will be hinged in the front, and the area under the seats will be for storage.
