Nice brightwork finish.
Might you bring it to the Gathering?

Not sure if it's a boat I would bring to the gathering. It's a little big and a long way to trailer it. If I finish it next year I will keep it in OCMD so I don't have to trailer it.

Looking great Weller. I can certain relate to the amount of time in the build. You're taking the same attitude I'm trying to take. It'll be nine for me next summer. Love the brightwork. I so much want to get something final finished. Everything looks like a construction zone. Ah well , like you said, its also about the journey. Keep at it. Looking forward to seeing additional work.

I'm starting to wire up my console and I planned on mounting the batteries in the console. I just read on the switch panel that it is not ignition proof and not to be installed in explosive environments such as gas engine rooms or battery compartments. Does this mean i have to build a separate place for the batteries to mount? I plan on using lithium batteries if that makes a difference.

I'm no expert but I don't think lithium batteries produce explosive gas. If you have to just put in a partition panel.

Steve:
Just singed up and not enough posts, I guess, but couldn't PM you.
Anyway we are practically neighbors, lived in Lititz for 15 years and would like to talk to you about your build. I've bought plans and await their arrival.
May be you can PM me?

I try to get something done everyday just to keep things moving. It is raining hard right now so I can’t get the boat out of the garage to get pictures but I took some inside. They might not be the best but you’ll get the idea. The head is done. I didn’t spend a lot of time making it look nice but it is functional. I finished all the bright work. The covering boards in the cockpit are varnished semi gloss and the toe rail is gloss. The transom fish box, cleats, and rod holders are done. I also took a picture of one of the nav lights just because I think they are cool.

I have a couple little things to do then I can paint the floor and install and wire up the console. The roof frame is at the powder coating shop. That will go on last because once that’s on it will not fit in the garage.

Re: Atlantic Skiff build
I would say my fit and finish isn’t even close to the production boats you named and far from the custom boats I tried to model off of but I thank you for the compliments
