Looks great. I am about to start my Tahoe 23 Build. I am in Southern California as well. I'd love to pick your brain on local suppliers. Where are you located?

I'm in Glendora. I get the Sapele from Reel Lumber in Anaheim (they have 4-5 Socal locations) and my plywood from Forest Plywood in La Mirada.

Got the second layer of the hull bottom (fore, starboard side) installed. One gallon of thickened epoxy and (give or take) 500 screws.
(I don't know why it keeps turning my pictures sideways).

Very cool. I always enjoy seeing the bigger boats being built. They do take longer to do, but man are they impressive.

All set to begin glassing. The directions said to do put the chine strakes in place after glassing and I know many of you do it that way as well. Per a recommendation from a builder I decided to put them into place before glassing. I rounded them a little to take the fiberglass better and then I plan to "sharpen" them once again with some thickened epoxy after glassing. I need to fix up the chine a little as well then too.

Looks great. As long as you can get the cloth to go around them with no voids you should be okay.

I've also been working on a console for the boat. I purchased a T-top from a surplus outfit back east before I started work on the boat. It was made for a 2011 Mako 284, was heavily discounted, and seemed to work for my plan. So I built a console to fit the T-top. Sort of backwards, I know. I used 3/8" Okoume plywood and will laminate some type of composite core on the inside of the ply.

I wasn't happy with my chines, so I built a "dam" and filled with thickened epoxy. Created a new chine.

A lot has happened since I last updated. Spent a few months spreading, then sanding, gallons of fairing compound. Then put the lift strakes in place. Current status.
