Hello Matt,
Thanks for reading the thread.

Yes the hull is pretty serious.
It has 7 'ring' frames and 8 (?) 'floors'. One floor between each frame.

The top side planking took a bit of persuading but wasn't TOO bad. I didn't need any heat or steam. A couple of the planks really did look like a banana after spiling them.

I'm thinking the hull is going to weigh about 800-900 pounds and the engine/transmission are about 650 pounds.
So a pretty heavy package.

Thanks again for looking and commenting.

Regards,
Alan

Alan,

Your work looks fabulous. I was looking at your recent photos...Has anybody asked "how are you getting the boat outta there?"

Hello Tom,

Yes, the question has been raised.

The wall behind the transom is just a non-load bearing wall running parallel with the floor joists above. It will come down when the boat is ready.

Here's what's on the other side of the wall.

So, the car backs out of the garage, the wall comes down, the boat on a wheeled dolly backs and pivots into the garage so it's pointed at the garage door, the boat trailer backs into the garage and the boat magically ends up on the trailer pointed in the right direction.
I now have nightmares about this about twice a week.

Regards,
Alan
