Leftover Wood
While I've really enjoyed building the two boats that did, I'm pretty sure my boat building days are over. So, I've been using some of the planed wood that I'd saved for a potential third boat for some other projects. I did this bookshelf for my office last weekend. The deck planking look makes for a good conversation piece.

Looks good! I used some of mine to make some nice cutting boards.

Nice, Jeff. Boat wood makes great cutting boards.

Yes, I did the cutting boards a few months ago. Actually, I built a mobile food prep and serving station for my outdoor kitchen that my cutting boards are part of. I'll send a picture when I get home.

Nice work Jeff. Below is a wall hanging I did with some of my leftover wood.
Re: Leftover Wood
That is so cool. I may have to steal that idea.

Wow Barrett! Looks like a different username, but are you David Barrett who built the "Sweet Melissa" boat?

Yes, I was away for so long I could not remember it and I changed computers. BTW, congrats on the National Champion LSU Tigers!!

We're hoping to get invited to Lake Martin this year but Covid has everything all messed up, so we don't know. If we go I'll make sure and let you know when we'll be there.
Yes, finally a hands down no doubt NC instead of a split with USC or backing into it with two losses, although that Auburn game was too close for comfort.

Joe Burrow was the man!! Yea, Covid sucks, lost a close friend to it. Hope to see you at Lake Martin sometime soon. I quarantined for a while at the lake when my fiends got sick.
