Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Lee.... I will try to video the event when it happens. Dave.... I have a big tree next to my driveway with a big limb. My plan is to use my electric winch with a 3/8" cable on it over a pully that is strapped to that limb. I have attached the winch to a piece of steel that fits in the hitch receiver...

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

I got news from Glen-L that my strut won't be shipped until 6/16. So I decided to install the rest of the "roll cage" and get everything braced and ready to flip.. The prop shaft hole will be drilled through the hull slightly aft of the rear roll thing. When the strut comes, I will drill the hole, t...

Re: FL Tahoe 23

My suggestion is to wait to drill the exhaust holes. There is no rush on that. I am planning on a short swim platform extending out about 12 inches from the transom. I will probably be going with side exhaust. I will also have trim tabs and a stern thruster that will be hidden by the platform. Every...

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Still waiting for my strut so I can drill the shaft hole. So I have been getting ready to flip. The forward roll thing has been installed and braced in all directions. I can't install the aft one until the shaft hole has been drilled. I also put on three coats of bottom paint on the forward half and...

Re: Lee's Monaco utility build

You've got this Lee !! Nice. Looking at the picture, it makes me think we should have a contest to see who can cram the most stuff on the bottom of their hulls. It certainly makes a great shelf...

Re: who is in favor of Catering such that we do not need to cook?

I'm with Roberta on this one..... Let's do it the way we have done it for years. It will be easy to get a head count for meals as we get closer to September. Keep in mind there is always spaghetti left over for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, for a side dish, or just to snack on Friday, Saturday, and S...

Craig and I will be arriving Monday or Tuesday, staying in the "Spaghetti Cabin", brining that "Damn Plastic Boat", Throwing Spaghetti Dinner for all on Thursday and departing Sunday morning.

Re: Neel's Palm Beach 22 build

Greetings to you Barry,,, I don't use epoxy above the WL because I like the look of varnish (with amber tint) over stain. I certainly don't like working with epoxy either. Many others have, but I was never able to get a great finish on anything that was epoxy coated. So I have stuck with what I know...
