Re: books on wiring

I put 150 amp curcuit breaker in the main line between batteries and fuse panel.Went off when i accidently touched battery poles with tightening wrench.Turned off last fall and this spring I forgot I had it.Motor ran but no power to switches.Hmmmm.Now I remembered to turn back on. :D

Re: books on wiring

I've got the wiring plans for Glen-L as well as book for Blue seas.Feel odd running heavier wire for blowers and bilge pump and hooking up to the products wimpy wire.

Hope you can find places to stop if weather gets iffy.Windy app is a good one to have.We keep eye on that for boaters crossing Lake of the Woods.Canada might open to non-essentuals on Aug 9 th.But I'm not holding my breath-been disappointed too many times.

Re: What did you do with your Glen-L this week?

Chug is just sitting in her spot tied to the dock. The rear enclosure zippers are coming apart so did some sewing with needle and Spiderwire Muskie braid for thread.Don't get out much when guests are in cabins.Mom's got a few bunches that brave the big open water to get up here. :D

Re: Free Thompson 14 Footer to a Good Home

:D I love those freebie boats.I went and picked up a 1954 Chris-craft for my dad a few years ago.Free, just come get.Motor was stuck so he paid neighbor couple thou to overhaul.Trailer was shot so he bought new tandam axle trailer for 2500.Also paid 2000 for full camper top(its a 23 ft cabin cruiser)...

Make sure you're using bunks on trailer.Hate for one of those rollers to pop a hole when you hit a hole.

I wouldn't want to be the one that puts the first scratch on her.You might have to hire "OLE OLSON" from Ole's boat scratching service.

I'm bored-no boats to scratch.

Re: Bob from Battle Ground wa.

I would extend the boat a couple of feet.Gets a little cramped with larger folks. Is a fun little boat tho.I couldn't get the 3/8 ply to bend around bow so went with 2 layers of 1/4 over all.Have fun and show lots of pics :D

Re: Acrylic Window Installation

You could enclose glass edge in frames larger than your window openings.Mount on outside, put hinges on top of frames-allowing to be opened for ventalation.Maybe screens inside to keep bugs from getting in. :D

Re: Acrylic Window Installation

I tried to put plexi in "Chug".By the time I got it in,it was so scratched up so went with tinted safety glass cut by the seller(rv dealer)Was more spendy(100 bucks a pop)but worth it.You got to install so wave won't push it out if you get into a storm . :D
