Re: Solar powered Amp Eater

Thats cool. I still remember a trip up the Kentucky River, I was a little kid. The locks were scary to a little kid, I was afraid the gates would fall in, That video reminds me of those locks, watching all the water as a terrified kid. I think the Kentucky river has first 4 locks working up to Fran...

Aquatron Adventure on the Muskingum cont'd (be sure to check out the You Tube links) We headed toward Philo where in about 5 miles we would come across Uncle Johns Riverside Café which was recommended by the lockkeeper. The down river current made going 5.5 mph practically effortless drawing only 1...

Aquatron Adventure on the Muskingum cont'd As you approach the locks you come to the historic lock keepers house on the island that separates the canal from the river. There is a dock there where you can get out and explore the lock mechanisms close up. 20210705_113051.jpg I say “locks” because the...

Re: Who is coming and where?

The 2 Tru-Grits are on the north side of Great Loop (canada), doubt will make it this year.
Ray and Curt, I hope you guys can post some pics from your great loop adventure!

Ray usually does name badges, I will be glad to do that in his stead. I will start a new thread to handle that.

Re: Poker Run G15

Melissa I would love to take part if we can hitch a ride. The AmpEater-Aquatron would only have enough time to make it to the first stop and back at cruising speed of 4.8 mph. :D

Re: G15 Dates and Location

Melissa and I just booked a loft lodge room for Sept 23-26. Look forward to seeing all of y'all then. With the nice kitchen in the room, it won't be difficult to cook up a few dishes for meals. It looks like this may be the best gathering yet! Having 110 v power at the docks will make it easy to kee...
