Most tandem torsion axle trailers should have enough capacity for you with at least 7000 lbs. gross. Trailers sh...

Re: books on wiring

If you have, or have decided on, your motor, you can look to the installation manual for those needs. Then map out your other devices including switches and fuses using manufacturing recommendations for fuse sizes and base wiring gages on fuse requirements.

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

You'll figure it out. The inline things look easiest, but pricey. They probably will be quiet being mounted in the rubber hose.

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

I was under the impression that they were welded on the end of the tip on the the edge. Now I understand that you are tacking them inside the tube at the end, keeping them flush with the end of the tube. I don't see that as a problem. I misunderstood how you were doing it. You should be fine with yo...

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

I wasn't sure if the rubber flapper would clear the decorative cover opening. But you could trim the flapper, if necessary. If they work out, they should be quieter. A short tack bead in 3 or 4 spots should secure them. That will keep the heat down.

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

Here's one more. Maybe sturdier, but maybe noisier. Could be installed anywhere inline in the hose.

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

Here is one other idea that is similar to what you were looking at and slips under the hose with no cutting, drilling or welding.

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

Actually you might be able to drill the holes for the pins and capture the assembly with the hose and clamps if you install them in the tubes as shown in the add. There would be no leakage because the hose clamped over the assembly would seal any leakage from the pin holes. Metal flue tape could be ...

Re: Key Largo Build in Charleston

I'm not sure those would work under our Vetus tips. Here is a design that could replace the plastic flapper we have and could be modified to fit in the slots the plastic flapper goes or could be welded in the SS tube behind tip.
