I have a Malahini and have been out it 2-3' swells on a large is very uncomfortable. I would say to leave it in the comfort of the captain...but for me anything over about 8"-10" chop is quite uncomfortable.

I have a marine Pyle amplified system (no stereo or head unit) with a 3.5mm input. I use my phone and stream Pandora or whatever music is on my phone.

I have a single (shorter) guide post on the trailer for my malahini and it is very handy. After getting the bow pulled tight to the bow roller I sit in the back seat and hold on to the guide post while my driver pulls out. Side planking should be 1/4" and the bottom can be 1/4 or 3/8". In my opinion the curve at the transom would be impossible to do with 3/8".
