Console Skiff with Raised Bulwark by Michael Bonaiuto, Peabody, MA

Hull detailed and ready for glass. Bulwarks are of 1/2" Marine Fir. When I went back to get more 3/8" it was only availible in 4-ply so I went with the 1/2' 5-ply.

Hull primed out with Interlux 414 Epoxy Barrior Coat. I was more successful spraying the Barrior Coat. I was not happy with my results when roll and tipping Barrior Coat. There are several coats of primer with epoxy putty detailing and sanding between coats.

The temp. lean-to was built with 12' metal studs 24" on center one side attached to garage, outer wall resting on pipe stageing. 1/8 masonite used to help support tarps above. Masonite and studs salvaged from a job I was on. This worked out well as I had about 4' of elbow room all around boat in a somewhat controled enviroment.

The finish coat is Interlux Perfection Matahorn White. The first coat I sprayed using a Scott Pack for ventilation. I put on a second coat using the roll and tip method and I must say that is the way to go for me. The finished product looks like gell coat.

The inner hull has one roll and tip coat of Interlux Perfection. When I got to the console I used Interlux Brightside.

Started working on the windscreen components but I'm wondering how much I need it. I will proberly finish it, but still wondering.

The woodwork is mostly Hundoran Mohogany. The console top is Brasilian Mohogany. I plan on useing Afrimosia on the fore deck and transom side decks.
