I plan to attend although at this point I am not sure what days. I will be coming by river and will sleep onboard so housing is not an issue. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'll only charge you $2.50 or 2 beers (which ever is greater) for the use of the shower. Does not enclude soap nor towl, that's an extra $2.50 or two beers (which ever is greater), you get to keep the soap.

(Sorry Dave, couldn't resist  Had to get this in here before Steve :P )

Raymacke,
Ill do you one better. Stop at my house on the way and I'll buy you a beer. I would like to see your boat.
By the way I am about 60 miles downstream of Guntersville and have a free covered slip for you to spend the night if its a good stopping point for you.
Bob

John, I thought I had you beat ! I was gonna offer him a room in a cabin but now I am not even sure if I have ONE !!! :?

Steve

(But we will take a vote before we head there and I will have the tug boat filled with a keg of the prefered choice of beer...and I will bring some sweet tea for Dale too...just cuz that's the kinda guy that I am !)

I think I might have room in my cabin (if I have a cabin) for a couple of Lolas too...that is of course unless my wife is with me ...in which case: "What is a Lola?"

Hey guys,

<<<SERIOUS>>>

Wives invited or not?

Personally, I like my "Admiral", and would prefer if she came - she is very knowlegable about boats and boating and would love to come. Our plan are to bring the Squirt and stay with some friends we still have in Huntsville (we lived there for 3 years in the early '90s), but if it's "guy thing", we'll come via our kids home in Ohio, and The Admiral will stay with the grandkids and I'll come down.

OPINIONS?????

Peace,

TRM

I say that any time you can take your wife with you...take her. One exception: never on a Harley trip. Otherwise, I think it would be great to have the wives there..it also helps to keep some of the less mature guys in check. I know, I know, ...

I just read the December newsletter and it reminded me to:
1) commit and
2) reserve.

"I solemnly promise that I will attend the 'Guntersville Gathering'."
There, that's done. I'll make the reservation tomorrow.

See ya'll there!

Confirmed.

I'm in.

Haven't reserved yet, but will do so in the next few days. I've been waffling about whether I want to camp or stay in a room.

Lookin' forward to it!

#6 here.
I am coming, dont know If I will stay there, probably will. If I come by water, I wont have a car to get home!
There's one lock between Guntersville and my house and I have waited 3 hours to lock through before.
Been working feverishly on my project, I have the everything wired and tested. More hardware is on the way from glenL. I should have it tommorrow

I've booked a Cabin for Friday and Saturday nights.

It's a two bedroom, and I think I'll be WOS (Without Spouse).

If anyone wants to bunk in the other room, let me know, and we can split.

Now all I need to do is finish the boat!
