Hi,

I am building my first boat (the Zip). I got the plans I am in the process of ordering the lumbers and the plywood. I also ordered the Zip Bronze Fastening kit.

I now want to order the fiberglass kit but the Glen-l website offers three kits:

Fiberglass kit 71-463
Fiberglass kit - System 3 SilverTip 71-463 S3
Fiberglass kit - System 3 71-463 S3G

What is the difference and do you have any suggestion on wich one to order?

Thanks in advance,

- Federico

The difference is the type of epoxy they ship with the kit: the first will be Glen-L's own Poxy Shield, and the second two come with System Three Silvertip or System Three General Purpose epoxies. I don't know of any reason to prefer one over the other, but I'm sure there are reasons, someone else can probably point out some advantages and disadvantages.
