Hey - next time we'll know that over in that cove, there aren't any rocks on the bank, and we can just throw Steve in over there!Gayle Brantuk wrote:Leakcheck--I do apologize for not pushing (or kicking) you into the lake, but I took a look at the lakeshore around the Pavillion and all of the rocks below and thought it would be inappropriate to kill you at our first Gathering... maybe next time.

Did the link on page 2 work?
I've had this problem before with Kodak.

Thanks for the reports and links to pics. Looks like I missed some mighty fine boats. I went down Monday to clean out my car. Decided to stop at the park. Absolutely beautiful. I drove up by the cabins and over to the ramp area. Top notch place.
Here is link and pics of my car if interested:

BTW- insurance officially totalled it today.

Well, I'll add my little snippet too...made it home about midnight last night...I don't have to work til Friday so I had planned on tooling around a little down there. After everyone left Sunday Dwain C. was still around...his plane didn't leave til Monday, so he and I went out in the boat and checked out the lake a while, then came back and grilled a couple burgers. Monday Ray Macke and Therapy and I with the Sea Knight went upriver to Chattanooga and stayed overnight, returning Tuesday. That was a great trip. Ray had a great idea for next year...for anyone that can make the time, we should plan a trip like that to Chattanooga. Its a little over 100 miles one way, only 1 lock, and is an easy day trip. It would be fun to have a bunch of our boats traveling in a group.
In any case, it was great meeting everyone and seeing their boats. There is A LOT of talent in the group! Thanks to all that made food and made it happen. Thanks as well to the Glen-L folks that took the time to come and check it out. I'd like to say thanks to Ray also for making the run to Chattanooga with me.
Totals: 2,220 van miles, 191 gallons of gas in the van, 249.7 miles added to the boat total (1127 now), and 40 gallons of boat gas. Good thing I got back when I did...gas down there averaged $2.77, it just went to $3.09 up here today!
Thanks again to all. (I'll post again next year, Steve!
