What about a Swap Meet?

Post by kens »

Anyone interested in a Swap Meet at the Gathering?
I got some extra stuff I would be glad to see go to good use. What about other builders?
Maybe if guys could post what they need, then maybe it could be brought to the Gathering.
Anyone interested??

That sounds like a good idea. I have a few extra things that I need to get rid also. Not much, but would bring them.

I can probably scrape a few things together. It might lighten up my boat as well

Well, one for sure!

I can't predict the one I have! Much less 5 or 6 others.

So far, I have the following:

1/4" npt fuel barbs
1/4" anti-siphon valve
exhaust trumpet w/flap
1 1/2" fuel fill line
1/4" fuel line
5/16" fuel line

I am cleaning out my plywood bits & pieces. I got several pieces of 6mm Meranti BS1088 too small for me to work with. However, I think someone cold molding a hull could use them, they are 8' long various widths.
If somebody wants it, I'll swap out for a few cold ones at the Swap Meet.

Hey Guys dont think I can make it to the gathering, Hower, I met a guy last week that has a chevy 350 motor set up for a boat. he has 2 sets of boat manafolds 2 transmissions and 1 motor that is set up to run in the counter rotation. He has the 2 shafts the 2 props on the couplings. Its from an old Christ craft they let rott out. I dont think I need this stuff but sombody surly would like to have it. I will be buildiong a nother boat after the squirt but the next project will be an out board aws well.
I need a motor for my squirt. he wants 1,000.00 for this stuff.

Should I buy it in the hopes to trad it out for a out board motor for the squirt??

I would just put aside the money, what if you found a motor & the people didn't want to trade? Then you'd have to dump the inboard stuff

I just ordered a Heavy Duty Crimping Tool (#6 - 4/0).

If you need to do battery cables bring you cables and lugs.

We're getting down to the wire here........what kind of parts are folks wanting, so that those that have surplus can bring them.

I got a couple bushels of stuff, but I hate to drag it around in my truck if nobody has a want for it.

Who knows, we all need goodies. I have a 10 degree strut with water pickup built in, I think from a Jersey Speed Skiff, and a turn fin. Probably have some other stuff to bring too.
