I dont know if anyone mentioned it, and I tried to read all the posts, but the last 2 weeks of October are the color cruise dates. Its a great time on the river and a lot to do but... the marinas usually charge +++ over the regular rates.
Not to discourage anyone because it is a great 2 weekends in the area and a lot of activity for that time of year. The trip between Guntersville and Chattanooga is beautiful this time of the year.
The activity used to center around Shellmound just upstream of the Nickajack dam, but now is at Goosepond which is really a better place.

Heads up everyone. The new November newsletter is out and it includes the initial Guntersville report. It should be an interesting read for anyone that wants to attend.
Isn't it amazing!! The person that never has the fortitude to pursue his own dreams, will be the first to try and discourage you from pursuing yours.

Falcon,
Welcome.
This is starting to really shape up.
If you guy's don't look out, I'll end up having to bring the Lola's and half the musicians on the Gulf Coast.

Bill,
I used to be in a band back when I was in the military. All soft rock, acoustical some electric...my old Ovation and Martin are long gone and I think my talent went with them....oh well...I can SING !!!
Bring em with ya, I want to get Dale up on the floor with a microphone !!
Steve
PS...Where is Dale hiding lately...I think he is getting something together for the gathering.

I regularly pull a fold-out camper with my Goldwing. I'm trying to figure out how to pull the Red 'Nado AND the camper behind it. I want to camp at the Gathering, so I better get to working on it.Dave Grason wrote:Not nearly as silly as towing the Harley behind the Dyno Jet.leakcheck wrote:Wonder if it would look stupid towing the dyno jet behind the harley?

Camping is a go for me too. I will not only have my Zip there, but I plan on having the teardrop camper there as well. Wow, I've got my work cut out for me. And I'll bring the old guitar too.
You know, this is going to turn out to be the best gathering we've ever had.
Wait, it will be the ONLY gathering we've ever had.
