Last Sunday I took my camera along to Ron's Tahoe 19 launch. After a Five year build I think he was pretty happy with the result. Well done Ron, nice boat.

Very nice looking boat indeed! I really like the way the spray rails wrap around the back and function as a swim platform. I wonder if this would work on a Monaco as well? Tim I am very jealous of the fact that you have such a talented boat builder so close! Judging by these photos I am sure that your Monaco is going to be amazing! Also, looking at the vents on the side, has anybody considered putting the exhaust on the side? I have only seen one wood boat which has side exit exhaust.

This Tahoe 23 has side exhaust. it is side exhaust but not those clamshells. It is a big block Chevy and sounds awesome.

In my opinion, many of these designs are "inspired by" the classics.

The Rivas that appear to have inspired the Tahoe series had the clamshells on the side and transom exhausts.

Of course, you can "mix and match" and include the features that you desire.

That is the beauty of building your own boat.

First off, that 23' Tahoe is gorgeous. My question though is about water. How does that side exhaust not get any water in it? Under power I can see but at idle speeds or at dead stop???? I see those pipes getting flooded out and rusting.

He has built that boat several years ago and uses it in salt water a lot.
