Flying Saucer will be there!!!

I Might not have final paint and all, and it might be my first water launch, but I will 100% be there, even if the boat is not 100%!

Boat-Bill-der, thank you for coming, I look forward to meeting you and seeing your new boat.

Rich, first I must say when I was searching the posts to find what kind of boat you built I was amazed, your boat is beautiful. To answer your question the connection with the judge was made through the thread on this forum, I hope he comes.

Just took a cruise from Buckley Cove to Sugar Barge to see the location of the Oct 28th Rendezvous. We had breakfast at their resturant. The place looked great and the food was good too. Nice choice, Deltadawg. Looking forward to it.

The vintage steam boats are meeting at B&W this weekend and the Classic Yacht Association's rendezvous is at
Tower Park next weekend. I sent a note to a friend of mine that works for Vessel Assist that if he sees any
steam or wood boats to please pass along the invitation to our event on the 28 Oct.

I changed our reservation for lunch to 1 pm so we could visit more at the docks before lunch and I could race
Boat-Bill-der to the submerged tractor and back.

For those of you that will be coming 28 Oct by sea there are some duck blinds that sank in Franks Tract in
2003, 2004 and 2005 the waypoints from my GPS are below. I believe duck season starts the week before our
event so there will be floating duck blinds too but those are easy to see and avoid.

DuckB3 N38.04225 W121.60233
DuckB4 N38.04570 W121.59650
DuckB5 N38.05042 W121.58968

I believe next week is Fleet Week in San Francisco; I will get some photos and post them when I walk down to the
Phoenix and Guardian (fireboats) at lunch. Those flat tops sure are big steam boats.

Man, I better get moving. I don't want the race to be my first time in the water...I need to break the motor in too. (see my new thread, coming soon)

I was out of town for a little over a week, but I am gonna get this whole weekend to myself with the wife out of town, so I hope to get the deck on and flow coat on that. Then all I gotta do is figure out a nice mount for my throttle/controls throw in a couch cushion, and take her out for trials...

I probably won't have an interior build, but I'll definitely have something running by then.

Boat builders, I got our 2007 Rendezvous listed on the California Delta Chambers web site 2 weeks ago,
see http://www.californiadelta.org/thisweek.htm Yesterday I helped my boat building friend sand the
chines on his Hawaiian Fishing dory. 1-1/2 dozen rubber band powered airplanes arrived last week for
an ice breaker so don't worry if it rains like it has been, we can still have fun and meet each
other. Dawg

Here is a map with placemarks if you need to Zoom, scroll, check satellite, check hybrid or get directions.
Maps sure have come a long way from the paper folded one in my backpack and sharing pictures,
spreadsheets and maps in Google sure is easy.
