That is the exact reason why I go out of my way and talk to the farmers/landowners about a week or so before hunting season starts up. Nothing like making a new friend over a case of beer so my truck won't be destroyed.

Well brother in-law left yesterday morning he stayed one more day than planed and was upset I had all my tool cases locked up   , got some work done on preping my material have allot of wood that need to get planed more than anything to know what type of wood I have the stuff was air dyed for 10 years and people going through my neatly stacked wood stacks had mixed the wood up. so far I have found 4 different type wood in the wood I brought back from Ohio. Tried to talk my father into harvest a good supply of white oak out at the farm we have a nice woods with it but he said it isn't ready to be cut yet only in 18" diameter was hoping to have a good cheap lumber supply for you guys on east coast but it is a no go. If you didn't know my family owns a farm that our main product is lumber. but we had harvisted last year and most was sold off but we selective cut so still plenty of trees coming. I still have about 100 bdf of lumber to plan down so need to get at it soon this morning

That motor is probably around 100 HP..It looks like a 15" short shaft too....great for some of these people that want one for a Malahini or Stiletto.

unforantanlly I need a long shaft there was allot of other in the price range or cheaper but I am sceptic about the motors because allot of them have said they have been sitting for a couple of season.

I used that style C-clamp on my last builds, but I just bought these and find myself reaching for these as they are easier to use one handed:

http://www.harborfreight.com/6-inch-bar ... 96210.html

I also have some 18" ones I needed on this current build.

I tried these even though someone said they were junk, and I wish I had listened...they are junk!!!

well finished up with the planing of the lumber and started prepping the wood to be laminated to get correct size of lumber. After seeing a pontoon boat with a beam of over 10 foot on a trailer I did some calling around and got a hold of the right people and found out to tow the jubilee as built according to plans it just requires to get a oversize permit and keep it in my towing vehicle. at a cost of 90.00 dollars yearly and with the permit I can move any oversize load as long as I don't do it for hire. and no other driver license's required  8) this made my day so I will be building a none modified beam which makes me feel much better.   the bad side is I will not be able to build the boat in the shop will have to construct a temporary shelter the shop door width is only 9' and I am dealing with a 10'2" beam. but I will build the frames in the shop.

Rod,
Just my 2 cents here. If I were you I would do some more checking before I did anything. That $90.00 dollars sounds like a one time permit. I don't know the rules in Utah, but here in SC anything from 8' and up to 10" is "Wideload" on both state roads and interstates. For that you need wideload signs, flags and warning lights. Loads wider than that (Oversize) and you need the above plus excorts and permits from the state and both state and Fed if traveling an interstate. On top of that you can only haul in the day time. Check both the state and fed rules, because that Utah transportation officer has both books in his car  and the tickets they write hurt. :(
