Sabotina...first build

Post by dock »

Hi everyone...I'm new to the forum, and I'm building the Sabotina, just to see if I can do it before trying something larger. Have restored two wood runabouts from the '50's...but nothing from scratch. So...couple of dumb quesions !!!! The plans say to fasten the chine logs to the temp. frames with finishing nails...so how do you get them out when you detach the building form ...... Also says to nail the keel to the temp. forms..same question..how do you get it off ???? Thanks for your help...Steve :?

A finishing nail can be pulled right through (from the inside) after you remove the forms, and then you simply patch the little hole that is left behind...

Yes, Plywood is "real" wood :)

A "professional" is someone who gets paid for their work - it doesn't necessarily mean they are good at it :)
