DRAGON Boat NATIONALs CHATTANOOGA July 2010

Post by S.D.G. »

HAPPY NEW YEAR GANG: I see a few mentions in the news letters for these DRAGON Boat events. .. Will pass on nice link stating the U.S. Nationals will be in Chattanooga, Tn July 23 - 25 .
.... Location to be Rt #153 TVA Dam park on the Lake. Recall last year one of the boats twisted under with the current right on the city waterfront site. http://char.racedragonboats.com/index.p ... &Itemid=39 lots of other LINKS here & some You Tube video clips. ENJOY.

..Also Nov 6&7 will be the "HEAD of the HOOCH" skull rowing races here in Chattanooga. Believe the 2nd biggest in the country. Here is the LINK with beautiful Aerial Pro sections, of 2009. Believe about 9,500 people were in that event & about 60% were women. http://www.headofthehooch.org/ Prior Georgia event.

.. Again Chattanooga is just a outdoor gem for tourism, relocate, retire and will be a pleasure to show my new wood boat members this wonderful region. Sept Gathering.
..Chattanooga Tenn river Gorge area.

Chattenooggaa is a nice town, the riverwalk is nice too. We already talked to Chatnooga about us coming there, they are interested but, their logistics are not as simple as some other venues.
Oak..........the juice ain't worth the squeeze :D  :o :)
